Chapter Philanthropy

Philanthropy at the Alpha Gamma chapter is something that connects our sisters and sheds light on the community around us. We pride ourselves in the amount of passion we have towards our philanthropies as well as community service. Last year we raised over $19,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association, this is a philanthropy that has impacted many of our members and their families and is one of our favorite events of the year! We have put on many events such as Sigma Scoops, Sigma Slices, Sketti Feed and Sigma Sweets to raise money and awareness on our campus for the Sigma Kappa Foundation. Alongside this we work closely with some of the elderly homes in our area to bring them activities, gifts, and our company to brighten their day and shed light on Gerontology. Inherit the earth is a lifestyle we are trying to obtain and we participate in a weekly Greek row clean-up to encourage our members to live these habits on ma weekly basis. Main Seacoast Mission is a way we enjoy giving back to where we were founded by holding a hygiene drive in the fall to donate the products for the harsh winters of Maine. Service is something very important to those in our chapter and we strive to improve this and raise more awareness and funds every semester as we grow! We love giving back to our community that has provided us with so much!
